Day 1: Arrive Broome
On arrival in Broome you will be transferred
to your hotel. Afternoon at leisure. Enjoy a
welcome drink with your Tour Director this evening.
Accommodation: Cable Beach Club Resort, Broome,
2 nights.
Day 2: Broome at leisure
Today is at leisure to explore this tropical
hideaway. Directly opposite the hotel is Cable
Beach, 22km of white sand and clear tropical
water. (B)
Day 3: Fitzroy Crossing
Travel to the port of Derby, situated on the
edge of King Sound. Visit the famous Boab Prison
Tree, used by the first police as an overnight
holding cell. Travel through some of Australia’s
biggest pastoral properties, to the remote township
of Fitzroy Crossing. Accommodation: Fitzroy
River Lodge, Fitzroy Crossing. (B) 
Day 4: Geikie Gorge
This morning cruise through Geikie Gorge, formed
by the waters of the Fitzroy River, tunnelling
through the Napier Range. Watch for wildlife
as the 30 metre high walls of the gorge tower
above us. Travel to Halls Creek, situated on
the edge of the Great Sandy Desert. Accommodation:

Day 5: Argyle Diamond Mine
Journey north of Halls Creek and enter the Argyle
mining lease. A local guide will join us and
conduct a tour of Argyle Diamond Mine, the world's
largest diamond mine. Travel to El Questro Wilderness
Park this afternoon. Accommodation: Emma Gorge
Resort, 2 nights, tented cabins with private
facilities, power and linen provided. (BL) 
Day 6: El Questro
Cruise through Chamberlain Gorge, a fresh waterhole
abounded by tropical vegetation. At Emma Gorge
Resort there is time to hike into Emma Gorge.

Day 7: Wyndham
This morning we travel along the Gibb River
Road to Parry Lagoon Nature Reserve. See the
bird life of this region and learn about traditional
lifestyles. Continue to Wyndham to the 5 Rivers
Lookout for sensational views over the Cambridge
Gulf. Visit Warriu Park to see the Dreamtime
Statues and rock art mural, before continuing
to Kununurra. Accommodation: Country Club Hotel,
Kununurra 2 nights. (B) 
Day 8: Kununurra
After breakfast enjoy a tour of Kununurra. See
the results of the Ord River Irrigation Scheme
and explore Hidden Valley National Park. (B)

Day 9: Ord River Cruise
This morning cruise along the Ord River from
Kununurra to Lake Argyle. Visit the historic
Durack Homestead. Cross vast cattle stations
en route to Katherine.

Day 10: Katherine Gorge
Cruise the placid waters of the Katherine River
through the towering cliffs of two gorges. This
afternoon travel through to Darwin for an orientation
tour.

Independent Touring Days 11 - 14
Day 11: Darwin at leisure
Enjoy a day at leisure to relax and explore
the Top End city of Darwin. (B)
Day 12: Kakadu National Park
Join your local AAT Kings Driver/Guide this
morning. Travel into Kakadu National Park. View
ancient Aboriginal art at Nourlangie Rock. At
Cooinda join a wildlife cruise on Yellow Water
Billabong. Later, visit the Warradjan Aboriginal
Cultural Centre. Accommodation: Gagudju Crocodile
Holiday Inn, Jabiru. (BL)
Day 13: Kakadu - Darwin
Join the Guluyambi cruise along the spectacular
East Alligator River. We have special permission
of the local people to go ashore in Arnhem Land.
Next stop is Ubirr, with a short walk to view
rock art. Visit the Bowali Visitor Centre, before
returning to tropical Darwin. Accommodation:

Day 14: Depart Darwin
You will be transferred to Darwin Airport to
connect with your onward flight. (B)
