TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR APT TOURS
(AUSTRALIA PACIFIC TOURING)
Cancellation Policy
Due to the extensive organisation involved with touring, a strict cancellation fee will be applicable to compensate for costs and lost revenue. We strongly recommend your customers take out travel insurance to cover against such charges. Once any payment is made the following cancellation fees will apply:
Day tours:
Notice of cancellation = Charges Levied to customer
* 1 - 2 days notice prior to departure = Full refund
* 24 hours or less notice = 50% charge may apply
* Failure to board without cancelling prior = 100% cancellation fee
Overnight day tours :
Notice of cancellation:
* 16-41 days prior to departure = 20% of gross fare
* 15- 1 days prior to departure = 50% of gross fare
Day of departure or if tour has commenced = 100% Cancellation fee
Fully escorted extended and short breaks touring:
If APT has accepted the booking, and client cancels or does not pay the balance at least six weeks before departure, the deposits paid will be forfeited. A cancellation can only be accepted in writing from the person who signed the booking form or in writing from the Travel Agent through whom the booking is made. The cancellation will be effective from the date on which it is received at our offices. Cancellations received after full payment has been made will incur higher charges, to offset expenses and losses :
* More than 42 days prior to departure = $200 deposits forfeited + A4WDr Booking fee
* 41-16 days prior to departure = 20% of tour price + Booking fee to A4WDR
* 15-1 days prior to departure = 50% of tour price + Booking fee to A4WDR
* Departure Date or No show= 100% of tour price
Concession / Student fares
Apply to holders of senior or pensioner cards (Aust, NZ), full time students, and YHA/VIP/NOMAD members.
Amendment Fees
Amendments to tour arrangements in any way, after we have accepted your booking, will be made if possible. A charge of $45 will apply to any addition or modification requested after the original booking has been confirmed.
General Information
1. All tours and cruises include all sightseeing, entry fees and meals as stated in the full itinerary (please request a full itinerary).
2. Free hotel pick ups are available on request at time of booking from all major CBD hotels
3. All coaches are rated 5 Star and equipped with TV, video, toilet/washroom, water, air-conditioning.
4. Small group touring vehicles are not washroom equipped
5. All fares are in Australian Dollars (AUD).
6. All fares include the Australian Government Goods and Services Tax (10%).
Child Fares

Day Tours : Passengers between the ages of 3 and 14 years inclusive travel at the applicable child fare. Passengers over the age of 14 years travel at the adult fare. Passengers under the age of 3 years travel free of charge (FOC) provided they do not occupy a seat.If seat required for a passenger under 3 yrs, child fare applies.

Regardless of duration of touring : Children under 18 yrs must be accompanied by an adult.

Tour Escorts on National Day Tours
Bona Fide Tour guides accompanying groups of 2 or more travel free of charge on day tours in Sydney and Melbourne. Bona Fide guides accompanying groups of 2 –9 on day tours (except in Sydney & Melbourne) travel at 50% off the gross adult fare in Cairns, Perth, Darwin, Ayers Rock. Groups with 10 + passengers attract one FOC on day tours.
Tour Escorts

Group Bookings (seat in coach)

Special charter quotes and group rates are available on request.
Family Discount
Adults in family groups on day tours - 2 adults & 2 or more children, are charged at concession fare. This fare cannot be used in conjunction with any other special offers.
Operating Days
APT reserves the right to cancel or alter tour itineraries as deemed necessary. Tour operation, or alterations may occur due to road or weather conditions, strikes, public holidays and accommodation availability etc. The company gives no guarantee as to the exact arrival or departure times as circumstances beyond our control may influence this.
Courtesy Pick-Up and Return Drop-Off

A complimentary pick up and drop off service is provided from the majority of key hotels. Please advise customers to wait in hotel reception or outside, 5 minutes prior to pick-up time. Times are provided as a guide line and may, at times, be affected by traffic conditions or pick up delays. Pick up and drop off details are required at the time of booking. Coach pick-ups maybe by another appointed contractor. Interstate and overseas passengers should re-confirm their pick-up times 24 hours prior.

NOTE: Every effort is made to locate passengers upon arrival at their pick-up point. If our driver/tour co-ordinator is unable to locate the passengers at the appointed time, customers will be required to make their way to the departure point at their own expense

Public Liability Insurance
Australian Pacific Tourings holds public liability insurance for all business undertaken to the limit of $10,000,000. A copy of the policy can be supplied on request.
Prices
All prices are gross AUD - gross rates may vary from brochure rates due to seasonal changes

Do clients need to reconfirm their tour? Yes, passengers must contact the Reservations Department nominated on their ticket quoting their booking number before 4pm the day prior to travel with both the name of their accommodation and room number. FAILURE TO DO SO COULD RESULT IN THE CANCELLATION OF THEIR BOOKING!

Conditions of Travel:This tour company reserves the right to alter the route or itinerary of any of its tours and arrange alternative carriers to those advertised if necessary. No refunds will be given in these circumstances or in the event of any delay, curtailment or alteration of a trip resulting from any cause including severe weather conditions or mechanical failure. A minimum number of passengers is required to operate each tour. It may therefore be necessary to cancel a scheduled departure and to offer an alternative or full refund for that tour. We can't guarantee pick up or drop off times and are not liable for passenger failure to connect with other services. Australia 4 Wheel Drive Rentals accept no responsibility for loss or damage to personal belongings or baggage. Insurance: Please consider it an important service to your clients to encourage them to purchase comprehensive travel insurance before leaving home. We strongly recommend that all passengers be fully covered by insurance. Liability: Whilst we make every effort to safeguard our clients and their belongings, we cannot be held responsible for personal injury or loss due to events which are beyond our control.
