Day 1: Alice Springs - Kata Tjuta (the Olgas)

Travel south through the West MacDonnell and James Ranges to Ayers Rock Resort and the Uluru - Kata Tjuta National Park . Along the way stop at a camel farm and later view the majestic Atila ( Mt. Conner ). This afternoon we visit Kata Tjuta, a unique rock formation of 36 domes that is sacred to the local Aboriginal people. Explore Walpa Gorge and then watch the sunset at Uluru while enjoying a glass of wine.
Accommodation: Ayers Rock Resort - choice of hotel or tented.

Day 2: Uluru (Ayers Rock)

This morning is an early departure to view the splendour of the desert sunrise at Uluru. A light breakfast will be served by your guide. You may like to climb to the top of the monolith (for those with a good level of fitness) or enjoy a guided walk and learn of the Aboriginal mythology surrounding this mystical place. Continue on a guided base tour around Ulurubefore visiting the Uluru - Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre. Your tour concludes at Ayers Rock Resort. (CB)
