Day 1: Alice Springs - Uluru
(Ayers Rock)
Travel through the West MacDonnell and James
Ranges . Visit a camel farm for an optional
camel ride (own expense) and later stop to view
majestic Atila ( Mt. Conner ), before arriving
at Ayers Rock Resort. This afternoon visit Kata
Tjuta and explore Walpa Gorge. Travel
to the Uluru sunset viewing area. Enjoy
nibbles and a glass of wine whilst watching
the sun set and the changing colours of Uluru.
Accommodation: Ayers Rock Resort - choice of
accommodation.
On Day 1 there is the option to upgrade from
the afternoon Kata Tjuta and Uluru
Sunset Tour (Y13) to the Kata Tjuta Valley
of the Winds Walk, Kata Tjuta Sunset
and Barbecue Dinner Tour (Y14), at an extra
cost.
Day 2: Uluru (Ayers Rock) -
Kings Canyon
This morning there is the option to do the
Uluru Sunrise, Climb and Base Tour (Y18)
or for the non-climbers, the Uluru Sunrise
and Guided Cultural Base Walk (Y41). Both tours
include a visit to Mutitjulu Waterhole and the
Uluru - Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre.
See page 15 for more itinerary details. In the
afternoon travel to Kings Canyon . There may
be time to view the sun set behind Carmichaels
Crag.

(AK43S), Standard & First Class (AK43F &
AK43R) or Kings Canyon Lodge (AK43L).
Day 3: Kings Canyon - Alice Springs
or Ayers Rock Resort
This morning join a guided climb to the rim
of Kings Canyon for marvellous views of Watarrka
National Park (for those with a good level of
fitness, sturdy shoes required). An easier walk
along the boulder-strewn canyon floor is also
available. Enjoy lunch at Kings Canyon Resort
(own expense) before travelling to Alice Springs
or returning to Ayers Rock Resort.
Note: During the hotter months the Kings Canyon
rim climb may not be available. Alternative
touring including guided walks at Kathleen Springs
and along the Kings Canyon creek-bed may apply.
Departs: 7.30am Daily from
Alice Springs
Concludes: 6.30pm approximately
in Alice Springs or 4.30pm approximately at
Ayers Rock Resort
